FRAGILE Items – Are you Packing them Right?

When you are moving fragile items, either to a new location, new room or simply to a NYC self storage facility, you need to be extra cautious. Fragile items are extremely sensitive and even by bumping into any other surface, they can chip or break. Here are a few things that you need to keeping mind when packing fragile items –

  • Getting a strong box for your fragile items is the first thing that you should consider. A strong box can hold more weight, which secures your belongings. Go for boxes that are specifically made for fragile items.
  • Never pack two or more fragile items together as it increases the risk of getting them damaged by banging against each other.
  • Even if you have secured the sturdiest boxes for your fragile items, do not pack them to capacity as this would put extra pressure on the boxes.
  • Always secure the fragile items with bubble wrap with additional support in the box. This will protect them from getting damaged.
Keep these tips in mind and secure your fragile and precious items.
