  1. My friend is looking for a storage unit to put his stuff in while he goes away for businesses for a few months. He's never had to use one before so he isn't sure what to look for in one that could keep his stuff safe and accessible when he needs it. This has some good info that I think could help know what he needs to be looking for.

    1. I've been thinking about getting a storage unit. Getting the right size is what I'm worried about. It's probably better to get one size up if you're not sure. First step is just getting everything into boxes that I don't want to keep in the house. The decoration and memory boxes are the first to go!

  2. It's really nice to know what to look for in a storage unit before you purchase one. I would recommend reading some online reviews to get a feel for the service provided. You could also go and look around the units yourself to see if it is what you are wanting. http://www.jpgselfstoragemb.com

  3. I really like the idea to sign up for a few months at a time to get some discounts. I am in the process of checking out different units right now and trying to find the best one to fit my needs. I think that one of the smaller units will work better for me.

  4. My company is moving over to Saudi Arabia for the next couple years. I've just sold my house and had a few yard sales. Initially I thought I'd be able to sell everything. However, I wasn't able to sell or give it all away. I think it might be a good idea to rent out a storage unit to store it all. http://alpertsstoragellc.com

  6. I was also looking at seeing if the storage unit has a way to help with moving. I move around a lot because I work for the government and it is sometimes a hassle moving things from the storage every time. I would rather be able to just pick up the storage unit and go. http://www.turnerstorage.com/

  7. I love infographics! This makes the storage unit process very easy. I'm glad you even included a few questions to ask and things to check up on. I also never realized that units next to elevators were more expensive. Thanks for sharing these tips with us! http://www.asentryministorage.com/Features.aspx

  9. I like how this infographic brought up the point that one should actually measure rather than estimate the space you'll need. That is a very true concept. If you were to overestimate, you may be overpaying for a larger unit that you don't need. If you underestimate, you may not have enough space for all your items. It is best to get an accurate measurement beforehand. http://www.hanesstorage.com/products.html

  10. This info graphic is really helpful. I didn't think about choosing a facility that had ventilation and air passage. That would be really helpful for long term storage facilities. This is something I can look more into. Thanks for sharing. http://www.islandmovers.com/other-services/portable-on-site-storage
